What this is, and what it isn't
InHandPay would rather be trusted than impressive, so here is exactly how it works.
- Salary figures are estimates. They come from a simple model of role, experience, city and company type. They are not survey data. You can add real numbers you have seen and the estimate adjusts.
- Take-home pay follows India's FY 2026-27 tax slabs. It assumes a typical salary structure, so your payslip can differ by a few thousand rupees.
- The decision helper weighs your own answers. It does not know your life. It shows you what your answers add up to and where they conflict.
- Everything runs on your device. Your pay and your decisions are never sent to a server.

Terms and conditions

In short: InHandPay gives you estimates and a way to organise your own thinking. It is not professional advice, the numbers can be wrong, and the decisions you make are yours.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply to your use of the InHandPay website and its tools: the salary reality check, the in-hand pay calculator, the offer comparison and the decision helper. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
In these terms, "InHandPay", "we" and "us" mean the operator of this website.
2. What the site provides
InHandPay is a free information tool. It produces estimates and suggestions from the details you enter. You do not need an account, and the tools run in your own browser.
3. Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is financial, tax, legal, investment or career advice. The site does not know your full circumstances. Before you act on anything important, such as accepting or rejecting a job offer, resigning, negotiating pay or choosing a tax regime, check the facts yourself and speak to a qualified professional where appropriate.
4. Accuracy of the figures
- Salary ranges are model estimates. They are calculated from assumptions about role, experience, city and company type. They are not survey data and are not taken from any employer or salary website.
- Tax and in-hand figures are approximations. They use India's income tax slabs for FY 2026-27 and an assumed salary structure. Your actual payslip, deductions and tax liability can differ.
- Figures may be out of date. Pay levels and tax rules change. We do not promise that the site reflects the latest position.
We do not guarantee that any figure, script or recommendation is accurate, complete or suitable for your situation.
5. Your decisions are your own
The decision helper weighs the answers you give. The raise scripts are suggested wording. You are solely responsible for what you say to an employer, the choices you make and their results. We do not promise any outcome, including a pay rise or a job offer.
6. Links to other websites
The site links to independent websites such as AmbitionBox, Glassdoor and Levels.fyi so you can compare figures. InHandPay is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them, and does not copy their data. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners. Your use of those sites is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to disrupt or attack the site, not to try to gain unauthorised access to it, and not to present its estimates to others as official salary data or as professional advice.
8. Ownership
The site's design, text, logo and code belong to InHandPay. You may use the site for your own personal purposes. The results and scripts generated from your own inputs are yours to use as you wish.
9. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that it will always be available, secure or free of errors.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, InHandPay is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything it shows, including loss of income, loss of a job opportunity or any indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may change the site or these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Privacy policy

In short: there are no accounts, no cookies and no adverts. What you type into the tools stays in your browser and is never sent to us. We count visits anonymously to see which pages are used.
1. What you type into the tools
Your pay, role, offers, living costs and decision answers are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to InHandPay, not saved on any server, and not stored on your device after you close or reload the page.
2. Information collected automatically
- Hosting logs. Like every website, the company that hosts this site may record standard technical details when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We do not use these to identify you.
- Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads. Google receives your IP address as part of that request. See Google's privacy policy for how it handles this.
- Anonymous visit statistics. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records which page was opened, the site that referred you, your country, your browser and device type, and how fast the page loaded. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you across other websites. It never sees what you type into the tools. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles this.
We do not set cookies, show adverts or sell data.
3. Links to other websites
When you follow a link to another site, such as AmbitionBox, Glassdoor or Levels.fyi, that site's own privacy policy applies. We do not pass them anything you typed here; the link contains only the job title and location needed to open the right page.
4. Children
The site is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add features that collect more information, such as saved results or accounts, we will update this page before they go live. The date at the top shows the latest version.
